Gratitude – A christmas short film.
For any film to be produced, it first starts off with an idea. An idea to spark christmas joy to others, an idea to convey a message about an unconditional love of a parent who wants to provide the child with what she can. An idea to remind us that time and time again, gratitude helps us to see what is there, instead of what isn’t.
Then it comes courage. The courage to push this idea to fruition, the courage to bring everyone together on set to create a film, the courage to envision the idea from start to end, and to stand up for it even in its uncertainties. The courage to push through when it is at its toughest, and to see to its completion. At this stage, I really have to say, “it takes a village to make a film!”
I’m very proud to be a part of the team involved in the short film. As the film’s editor, my job was to assemble everything at the end, and it was made enjoyable for everyone had passed the mantle of the film so painstakingly well to me. Thank you for all of your ideas and your courage, which I hoped, have deservingly translated onto this film.
